Spending a night at Operation Jackdaw, a veteran-led wild camp experience for mental well-being.

I was invited to Operation Jackdaw, an incredible organization in Kent, UK, dedicated to helping veterans and serving military experience the benefits of wild camping for mental well-being.

I spent the night in a beautiful woodland, using the Hilleberg Soulo and DD Tarp (3.5x3.5m), cooking over a small wood-burning stove, and sharing the experience with fellow YouTuber Neil from ​⁠ ​⁠

This wild camp was more than just an adventure—it highlighted how camping, nature, and camaraderie can support mental health.

I attempted a 48-hour New Year wild camping challenge on the North Downs Way, and it didn’t go as planned… at all.
